Rising Ambition (baking at home intermediate)
If you have been baking at home for some time and want to expand your knowledge and experience to the techniques of sourdough, European specialities and to work with enriched doughs such as brioche, this is the course for you.
You will learn how to manage your leaven, how to get the best results with rye and wheat sourdough and how to fit baking them around your lifestyle.
You'll be taking home with you sourdough starters, all the recipes from the day's bake, and the knowledge and confidence to take the skills learnt on the day to bake for your family and friends at home. You'll be baking in a friendly and supportive environment and meet other people determined to take control of how they're food is produced. Breakfast, lunch and tea/coffee are all included in the price.

Courses take place at The Handmade Bakery premises at 14 Carr Lane, Slaithwaite, HD7 5AN unless otherwise stated.
Places will be reserved for you if available on receipt of an email to info@thehandmadebakery.coop requesting this. Bookings are confirmed on receipt of the full course fee. The fee is non-returnable if canceling within 7 days of the course date, unless the course is cancelled by The Handmade Bakery. Courses are family friendly, but under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access at present.
